IMX will accept your lightly used durable medical equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.), sanitize, and store them. We have a wide network of connections to help get this equipment into the hands of those who need them at little or no cost. With healthcare in a constant state of change, these items can be very expensive. IMX will serve as the "middleman" to help make this connection. This will truly help someone in need.
Please contact IMX at info@innovativemedicalexchange.com, our social media, or our contact us page and we will see if we can help. Navigating healthcare can be a challenge. We can help lessen that burden. It is what we do.
IMX is working hard to provide gainful employment opportunities to those in the special needs community. We strive to further our outreach by developing a work environment for those with that need it. We are working closely with local organizations to eventually launch work opportunities in our future physical location. Our funding relies heavily on donations and sponsorships to develop a safe constructive work environment for those that may have challenges finding work in the general work force.
We believe in resourcing quality, durable, medical equipment with reasonable access and use for the restorative/rehabilitation population at little to no cost.
Innovative Medical Exchange (IMX) is a not for profit (501c3) tax deductible organization which strives to employ resources to keep durable medical equipment in a carousel of reuse. Durable implies heavy duty and lasting, hence, reusable for restorative equipment in physical rehabilitation and recovery. We provide a resource for a limited time or use for a lifetime. Once the recovery/rehabilitation goal is met with no longer a need for the equipment, this equipment can be returned to IMX and (with a valid purchase receipt) the patient will receive a tax-deductible document for the return. Returned equipment is re-evaluated for use, sanitized, serviced and resourced to the next client in need. IMX also believes in providing gainful employment to the special needs community of Aiken County through partnerships with local organizations.
We accept donations of used durable medical equipment, clean, sanitize, and ensure the device is in good working order. We then will connect the equipment, through proper channels, to get it in the hands of those that need it.
We will connect with local social work agencies, medical offices, churches, and case managers to connect the equipment to individuals who need it.
We will welcome the return of the equipment if it is no longer needed. Of course, individuals may need it for a lifetime. We will serve as a connection to assist clients with current equipment or future needs.
IMX is developing a physical location to serve our special needs community with employment opportunities. Your donation will help us achieve our goals to better help our community.
